Operations Manager (PTA) for the Laser Department

Can you manage a laser department, organize the orders, and at the same time understand how the machines work?

We are looking for an experienced PTA Operations Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our laser department. You will manage the order flow, allocate work, and ensure progress and quality. The department currently consists of three production employees in addition to the PTA Operations Manager.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

In the laser department, we primarily work with thin stainless steel sheet, including for the pharmaceutical industry, where quality and precision requirements are high. As a PTA Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring coordination between order flow, scheduling, and machine operations so that quality and delivery times go hand in hand.

Maintain a comprehensive overview of order intake, prioritization, and production flow.
Process and create orders from email, phone, and other channels, and track them through to completion and invoicing.
Develop and quality-assure cutting and bending programs in collaboration with the operators.
Ensure a steady flow through laser cutting, deburring, grinding, and bending.
Track process records, finished goods, quality, and delivery times.
Develop workflows, procedures, and operators' skills, including in the area of programming.
Plan and implement service and preventive maintenance.
Provide hands-on assistance with production during peak periods, as needed.

The Profile We're Looking For

You have solid technical experience from a laser or sheet metal department and are ready to take responsibility for day-to-day operations. Experience with day-to-day management, production planning, and assigning tasks to employees is a plus.

Proven practical and technical experience with CNC laser cutting, edge bending, and other sheet metal fabrication tasks within a laser department.
Experience with the Salvagnini STREAMLASER is a major advantage. Experience with other relevant laser systems can also be a good starting point.
You can create and customize bending programs on your own. Familiarity with the TRUMPF TruTops Boost with TecZone Bend is an advantage.
Experience with quotations, cost estimates, customer contact, and ERP systems is a definite advantage.
You speak and write Danish at a confident, professional level.

The department has a Salvagnini L3 fiber laser, a Trumpf TruBend press brake, and a Fladder Gyro 200.
